Day 1 - Following the Spirit

The apostolic spirit is a rare virtue in a world, and in a church, which measures itself by its own values. But it is the apostolic work we do that embodies our Christian calling; ranks and titles are the structures of men.

Peace in heaven, when we get there, is not likely to be eternal rest; it will be most probably the eternal work of praise and thanksgiving, and the placing of crowns on the head of our beloved Christ. Such crowns are not those awarded by men but come to us as the backwash of our obedience to his will and our Apostolic work in this world.

Jesus once remarked that not everyone who called him "Lord, Lord" is by definition, or rather by profession only, on their way to glory. Only those who do the Father's will will be there. So, how will you do the Father's will and be sure of it?
