Day 19 - Loss and Gain

Looking back down the funnel of church history, all the way from the present day to the founder's ministry, we can see why the miraculous gifts so soon fell into, and remain in, comparative decline; it was not only that expectancy and personal holiness were almost lost to the Church, but that dry, formal, power-conscious people began to deride those gifts that they had not been given themselves, and to publicly pull them all down as being untrue, non-Biblical, if not evil.

Perhaps that is why the Father has hidden these things from the wise and learned and revealed them to little children.
