Day 20 - Seedcorn Of History

But someone will say, "You may have expectancy; but I get on with it." Show me your expectancy without deeds, and I will show you my expectancy by what I do."

Expectancy that stops at words is not expectancy at all. Expectancy of God to act is displayed - and develops - as we act on it.

All of this world we know will soon have passed away. But God will remain, together with you, whatever you have become, good or bad. Your doings now are the seedcorn of eternity.

Every single act, on every day, good or bad, is a handful of that seed. Every day adds into the melting pot, making you more or less like him, more or less capable of his love and his compassion for those who lack the abundance of life.
